Under the direction of the
Parish Nurse, the Health Ministry embodies a wholistic approach to
health -- an approach of mind, body, and spirit. It is a combination
of health screening and medical education, with special focus on the faith
and spiritual dimensions of health. Following the lead of our Lord
Jesus Christ, Health Ministries encourages efforts at self empowerment and
our care of one for another. In this light, the Parish Nurse
functions as health counselor, educator, advocate, liaison and trainer.
