Port Charlotte UMC has a very active music
program consisting of numerous opportunities for adults and children.
Chancel Choir - sings for Sunday
morning worship services and special services throughout the year as well
as performing two special cantatas during the Advent and Lenten
seasons. Open to high school students and older, Chancel Choir
rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm.
Children's Choir - is an opportunity
for children from K through 5th grade to learn about God and music through
singing. The children sing once a month in worship from September
through May. Children's Choir rehearses on Wednesday afternoon from
3:00 to 4:00pm.
Good Vibrations - is a beginning bell
choir. It does require the ability to read simple musical notation
but no previous bell training is needed. Vibrations perform
approximately once a month in worship as well as special performances
throughout the year. Good Vibrations rehearses on Tuesday evenings
from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
Wesley Ringers - is an advanced bell
choir requiring some previous bell ringing experience. The Ringers perform
approximately once a month in worship as well as special performances
throughout the year. Wesley Ringers rehearse on Wednesday mornings
from 10:00-11:30am. |
